Responsive Core
Our vertically laminated ash and black locust core delivers unparalleled power to the skier while still maintaining responsiveness. The flex of the response allows easy turn initiation while still vertically and torsionally stiff. This also results in strong edge hold for carving. The Responsive Core features more black locust at the tips and tails than underfoot, giving a Progressive Flex pattern that encourages high speed stability and makes linking turns effortless.
The Matrix is a hybrid of an all mountain and carving ski. The large early splayed tip lets the ski handle off-piste chop as the 15 m sidecut and Response Flex Core allow the ski to outperform most carving skis on the market. Its tail has a short steep curve, allowing the user to transition turns faster in the trees and moguls. Edge contact extends the whole distance, making the ski incredibly powerful and aggressive. The composite dampening helps The Matrix adjust to the condition that it is facing, whether it is bulletproof ice, corduroy, bumps, or crud in the trees. This ski is a perfect crossover for racers looking for a freeride ski that does it all, but maintains the feel of racing sticks.
